Stansted Airport Guide
Location: London Stansted Airport is just over 30 miles to the North East of London, at junction 8 on the M11, less than 20 minutes from the M25.
The airport railway station is situated within the terminal building.
Getting to Stansted Airport: By Train The airport railway station is situated below the terminal building. Train tickets can be purchased at the railway station. All trains have facilities for special needs passengers. Bicycles are not permitted on the Stansted Express at anytime, however, they can be taken on the local train service into London. Stansted Express Information regarding changes to Stansted Express Sunday Services from 29 Sept 2002 through to Spring 2004 The Stansted Express runs every 15 minutes from 0800 to 1700 weekdays and every 30 minutes early morning, evening weekdays and weekends. The journey time is 41 minutes to the City of London, Liverpool Street station.
This service also serves Tottenham Hale which links with London's Underground for the West End en route to Liverpool Street station. The first train departs from London Liverpool Street at 0500 every day and the last train departs at 2300 hours. From London Stansted the first service begins at 0600 every day and the final train departs at 2359.
London stopping service
An hourly local service calls at all principal stations between London Stansted Airport and Liverpool Street Station, stopping at: Stansted Mountfitchet, Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow Mill, Harlow Town, Roydon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Enfield Lock, Brimsdown, Ponders End, Tottenham Hale and Hackney Downs.
Central Trains - Midlands and the North
This service connects London Stansted with Audley End, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham. It is possible to connect at Peterborough to Leeds, York, Newcastle and Scotland; and at Leicester for Derby and Sheffield.
This service operates seven days a week with the first weekday train departing London Stansted at 0619 Monday to Saturday and 0915 on Sundays. The last train to Cambridge will depart London Stansted 2115 Monday to Saturday and 2240 on Sundays.
All trains are air conditioned and have special facilities for disabled people and space for cycles which must be reserved in advance.

By Bus or Coach The coach station is located in front of the terminal forecourt. Tickets can be purchased from the coach ticket desk in the arrivals area in the terminal or in the coach station (08:00 - 20:00). Tickets may also be purchased on the coach.
Services include: Airbus A6 Connects Stansted Airport with London Victoria - Central London via Golders Green, Finchley Road Underground Station, St Johns Wood, Baker Street, Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner.
